Toraja trekking tours is create you a few days out of the crowds and invite you to enjoy the natures, and the local wisdom of Torajan who live in a remotes area. The natures, and cultures are fantastic to explore in a few days of trekking.

Trekking in Tana Toraja is a must. The local wisdom, the natures, and the hospitalities are quaranted for your tours satisfaction and memorable.

We will begin the trip from Makassar city, where the Sultan Hasanudin international airport as the entrance point to South Sulawesi. And then by car, driver we will guide you to Rantepao, for 08 hours driving.

On the way stop for lunch, toiletes, and also photo stop for Bugisnese villagers along the road, and also having some Torajan coffee. Late afternoon we will arrive in Rantepao, as the capital city of Tana Toraja. We will have overnight at hotel.

The trekking run in soft adventure, within by car to starting poin and start walking through the bamboo forest, rice terrace, traditional villages.

A long the the way of trekking we might to see the Torajan funeral ceremony.  And we will interact with the local people who doses as a farmer, school kids, traders in traditional market and spectaculars panorama.

Every day we can set up of trekking duration according to your walking abilities, range between 3 – 5 hours/day.

For your self preparation for this activities, is enough body training at home, and don’t forget to bring rain coat, small torch, comfortable trekking shoes, snacks or candy, vitamins, and first aid medical box just in case of  some allergic, or mosquito bites, also the camera for the documentation, etc.

Accommodation during the trekking will prepared on Torajan traditional house. Local food will as a menus for breakfast, dinner and lunch. No worry about the sanitary because the local family as a host, has been experience in serve the tourist for long time. About two nights we are going to stay in star hotels at Tana Toraja or Makassar.
